Artist Inspiration
As both an architect and artist, I am drawn to urban and natural landscapes.

To me, a landscape truly comes alive when touched by human endeavour — a building, a path, or a figure.
As both an architect and artist, I am equally drawn to cityscapes and natural landscapes. My paintings reflect this dual fascination, whether portraying soaring gothic cathedrals or majestic mountains.
In my artistic process, drawing and painting connect, as I strive to direct four elements: line, shape, texture, and colour. Through improvisation, design, and mystery, I seek to capture the essence of my subjects. I draw inspiration from the works of Vincent Van Gogh, Tom Thomson, and Emily Carr, admiring their expressive use of arbitrary colour and thick brushstrokes, which go beyond imitation to reveal the underlying beauty of a subject.
Whether an artist or collector, I believe, as humans, we are endowed with the gift of perceiving the eternal. My work aspires to express the invisible presence of God in the natural world, through the lens of human creativity, revealing the beauty that quietly surrounds us.
